Sunday - Off Day

Today I woke up this morning grabbed me a bagaful and headed out.  I was on a mission today, I had to get a Wii Fit.  I headed over to my local Toys ‘R’ Us store where I remembered a sign that said they would have them in Sunday.  Luckily I walked in and asked the guy standing at the door if they had any left and he said sure do then tried to sell me some extra batteries and protection plans and bundle, which I noticed a lot of parents were jumping on.  Anyways I got in line and waited behind a guy who bought a Wii, Wii Fit, Two guitar hero guitars, two extra controllers and three nunchucks.

I got home and ripped it out of the box and got everything started.  It took me through the initial test asking me basic questions, which Mii I wanted to use, my height and date of birth.  Then it told me to step on and it would weigh me … oh geeze I thought, It’s going to tell me to get the heck off of it.  After a few seconds of standing there waiting for it to tell me the inevitable that I was obese and should do more. Funny thing is the weight it had me at was 263 lbs, while the scale says I am 267.  Oh well, apparently walking from my scale to the Wii Fit I lost 4 pounds.  I’m not complaining.

So I started up with the Yoga and man I always thought Yoga was for women and I could not benefit from it.  I was wrong, I was sweating up a storm but I was pumped and having fun.  I couldn’t to stop playing so I did the strength exercises and I didn’t want to stop there but I had to go to a family reunion.  Oh well it is fun and its part of my workout plan now.  To do at least 30 minutes of Wii Fit everyday now.

So many good reports about the Wii fit. Maybe I’ll actually get one at some point.

hey man - keep it up. Just remember not to push yourself too much in the early stages, especially like me you are a bit of a newbie to exercise.
